Our Practices
We are a small family farm that is local and diverse, giving us the ability to be good caretakers of both the animals we raise and the land we farm. This benefits the local environment, the local community, and the local economy. We grow forages and cover crops to feed our livestock. These also help improve the soil health and air quality, allowing us to use less commercial fertilizer and herbicide. The livestock benefits the soil as we return their manure to the land as natural fertilizer. Our practices support the local community as consumers have the opportunity to purchase quality food directly from the farm. Purchases made from our farm benefit the local economy as the dollars spent stay local. Your purchases of beef and milk help us maintain our sustainable farming practices.
